Robert H. Ehnert

Robert H. Ehnert, 64, of West Bend, passed away Friday, Jan. 13, 2006 at SynergyHealth St. Josephís Hospital in the town of Polk.

He was born on May 5, 1941 in West Bend to the late Henry and Esther (nee Vollendorf) Ehnert, and graduated from West Bend High School in 1960.

On May 8, 1965 Bob was united in marriage to Carol Gust at St. Johnís Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend.

Bob worked for the city of West Bend for 20 years in the Depart-ment of Public Works.

He then was employed as a school bus driver for Johnson Bus Co. and the West Bend School District, and later as a motor coach driver for Designers of Travel Unlimited and Jones Motor Coach in Elkhorn.

He retired in 1990.

Bob was an active member of St. Johnís Ev. Lutheran Church in Newburg, a long-time volunteer for the American Red Cross and a former member of the West Bend Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include his wife, Carol; two children, Lynelle (Scott) Eldredge of Marinette and Rev. Thomas Ehnert of Midland, Mich.; four grandchildren, Jordan, Scott Jr., Allyssa and Matthew Eldredge; three sisters-in-law, Inez Schwoch, Bernadine Faul and Faith Gust, all of West Bend; two brothers-in-law, Roger (Elaine) Gust and Richard (Marilyn) Gust, both of West Bend; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services to celebrate Bobís life will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. at St. Johnís Ev. Lutheran Church in Newburg.

Rev. Jon A. Baumann will officiate and burial will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Johnís Cemetery, Newburg.

Visitation will be at the church only on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of service.

Memorials to St. Johnís Church Building Fund, or the Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary are appreciated.
