Marcella F. Siegfried
Marcella F. Siegfried (nee Luedtke), 95, of West Bend, was welcomed home by her Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006 at Synergy Health St. Joseph’s Hospital, West Bend.
Marcella was born Sept. 2, 1910 to Robert and Clara (nee Schaeffer) Luedtke in the town of Herman, where she was also raised. After receiving her education, she dedicated her time to working on a farm, until her marriage to Marvin E. Siegfried on Feb. 24, 1932 in Milwaukee.
After marriage, the couple began a family of their own.
Marcella worked at the Woolen Mills, and was later employed at the West Bend Co.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of West Bend, and the Dorcas Society.
Marcella enjoyed devoting her time to making quilts, sewing and embroidering, and she loved to bake.
Marcella will be deeply missed by her cherished daughter, Jean Hoefs of Milwaukee; her life’s companion and best friend, her sister, Anita Luedtke of West Bend; her treasured daughter-in-law, Elaine Siegfried of Appleton; her dear grandchildren, Donna (Bryan) Palmer of Milwaukee, Ann (Ray) Gevelinger of Neenah, Mary (Jeff) Olson of Stevens Point and Julie (Todd) Boivin of Shawano; her six great-grandchildren, Andrea, Adam, Nathan, Katie, Dan and Sam; and her great-great-grandson, Tyler.
She will also be deeply missed by her special nephews, Bill (Joan) Meyer, Leonard Meyer, Roger (Pat) Meyer and Leroy (Markie) Meyer; other dear relatives and many friends.
Marcella was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Clara Luedtke; her son, Robert; her sisters, Viola Benedum and Goldie Meyer; and one niece, Shirley Ihde.
A funeral service to honor the life of Marcella was Saturday, Jan. 14, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 140 N. Seventh Ave., West Bend, with Pastor David Schoob officiating. Interment took place in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation with family and friends was Saturday at the church prior to the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to extend their appreciation for memorials that are donated to Trinity Lutheran Church.
Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend assisted the family.
