Edgar W. Asp

Edgar W. Asp of Hartford passed away Monday, Jan. 16, 2006 at the age of 92 years. He was born May 8, 1913 in St. Cloud, Minn., the son of Peter and Magdeline (nee Klienschmidt). He married Gertrude Krueger in 1944 in Wauwatosa. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Edgar was a charter member of Divine Savior Lutheran Church. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing.

He was the loving husband of Gertrude (nee Krueger); loving father of Althea (Douglas) Dobratz of Plymouth, William (Anita) Asp of Arizona and Pete (Jean) Asp of Sullivan; and the dear brother of Ruth Bixby of Shell Lake. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by four sisters.

Visitation is Friday, Jan. 20, 2006 from 5-7 p.m. at Divine Savior Lutheran Church, 3200 Highway K South, Hartford. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the church. Rev. Ricky Schroeder will officiate. Interment will be Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006 at 10 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
