Albert "Hub" Deis

Albert "Hub" Deis, 81, of Hart-ford passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006 at Aurora Medical Center in Hartford.

He was born Nov. 25, 1924 in Hartford to Alex and Sophia (nee Mueller) Deis, and was a 1942 graduate of Hartford High School.

He worked at Chrysler Corp. for over 38 years, and was a member of the Hartford V.F.W. Post 8834.

Albert served three years in the medical corps in the U.S. Army during World War II and spent two years in the European Theater

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Betty Deis; nieces and nephews, Betty (Cliff) Yahr of West Bend, Robert (Marlene) Hawkins of Menomonee Falls, Pat Miller of Hartford, John (Betty) Steilen of Jackson, James (Virginia) Steilen of Pewaukee, Jerome Steilen of Sussex, Mary Lang of Waukesha, Robert (Ann) Steilen of West Bend and Ralph (Debbie) Steilen of West Bend.

He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were four sisters, Anna, Maria, Emma and Ida and five brothers, Alex, Carl in infancy, Frederick, Carl and William.

Memorial services for Albert will be held on Monday, Jan. 23, at 6:30 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union St., Hartford, with Rev. Aaron Steinbrenner officiating.

Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Inurnment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
