Lucille M. Collins

Lucille M. Collins (nee Hauschel) of Hartford, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006 at the Samaritan Home in West Bend. She was 91 years old.

She was born on May 19, 1914 in the town of Rubicon to Victor and Harriet (nee Foote) Hauschel. She married Joseph Collins on Oct. 12, 1935 at St. Kilian Catholic Church in Hartford.

She was a member of St. Kilian Catholic Church and past member of the Daughters of Isabella. She loved antiques and finding new treasures. She also loved traveling, her flower gardens, playing cards, listening to polkas on WTKM and especially spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children; Jean (Erv) Benka of Hartford, Robert (Teresa) Collins of Virginia, Dr. Joseph (Kathy) Collins of Oconomowoc, Carole (Leroy) Breuer of Hartford and Gail Aufdermauer of Delafield; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, in 1965; a son, Gary Collins; and her sisters, Doris (Herbert) Thorn and Mary (Ray) Smith.

Mass of Christian Burial was Sunday Jan. 22, 2006 at St. Kilianís Catholic Church in Hartford, with Father Michael Petrie officiating. Family greeted relatives and friends on Sunday at the church. Interment was at St. Kilian Cemetery, Hartford.

Memorials to St. Kilianís Church or the American Diabetes Association appreciated.

Shimon Funeral Home in Hartford assisted the family.
