A Mass of Christian burial was held on Jan. 28 at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grafton for Jeanette Burns (nee Kicker) of Cedarburg (formerly of Northfield and Wilmette, Ill.), who was born to eternal life on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006 at the age of 76. Visitation was held at the church on Jan. 28. The Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg assisted the family with arrangements.
Jeanette was born on Oct. 31, 1929 in Birmingham, Ala., to the late William and Helen (nee McGonagle) Kicker. She volunteered at the Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital and belonged to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grafton. Jeanette was an accomplished exhibiting artist and an active member of both the Cedarburg and Mequon Art League.
Jeanette was the loving mother of Larry (Chris), Michael (Anne), Kathy Frank, Missy Burns Morrison and Julie (Jim) Shiff; and proud grandmother of Annie, Michael, Patrick, Katie Jeanette, Charlie, Maggie, Danny, Sam, Molly, Dillon and Abbie. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her son-in-law Tony Frank.
