Roman Drazniowsky, 83, professor emeritus, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2006.
Prof Drazniowsky taught at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for 15 years, and received a doctorate at Graz University in Austria.
He was also the rector of the Ukrainian University in Munich and the superintendent of Ukrainian Schools in North America.
He was the beloved husband of Carole (nee Yoh); dearest father of Alexandra (Edward) Curtis, Cynthia (Mark) Drager and Bob (Debra) Schmidt; grandfather of Peter and Mark Curtis, Jennifer, Alicia and Jeffrey Drager; brother-in-law of David and Judith Yoh and Andrea Retzlaff.
Further surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 11 at 7 p.m. at the Bruskiewitz Forest lane Chapel, 5355 W. Forest Home Ave., Milwaukee.
Visitation at the funeral home will be on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until the time of services.
On Wednesday, relatives and friends will meet at St. Andrew’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 300 E. Army Trail Road, Blooming-dale, Ill. at 10 a.m. for services.
Interment will be at St. Andrew’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Shevchenko Scientific Society, UW-Milwaukee, AGS Collection, Cedar Communi-ty in West Bend or the charity of the donor’s choice.
