William Glenn Hurst

William Glenn Hurst, age 73 of LeRoy, passed away Friday, July 14, 2006 at his home. He was born June 9, 1933 in Two Rivers, the son of Alden and Lulu (nee Zeman) Hurst. He married Jane F. Schmidt Aug. 25, 1956 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in LeRoy.

He was a 1951 graduate of Mayville High School. He was a retiree from Steel-Craft in Hartford.

He was an active member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, LeRoy, a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea, member of Lomira American Legion Post #347 and former member of Mayville Golf Club and Camelot Golf Club.

He was active in LeRoy Baseball and enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking in addition to fixing golf carts. Billís greatest joy was watching his children and grandchildren grow up.

He is survived by his wife, Jane; children, Scott (Debbie) Hurst of LeRoy, Jack (Kelly) Hurst of Mayville, Michael (JoAnne) Hurst of Mayville and Marybeth (Chris) Cook of Oakfield; grandchildren, Ryan and Randy Hurst, Billy and Bethany Hurst, Kristopher Bonack, Samantha Hurst and Kasey Jane Cook; step-grandchildren, Jerrod and Jennifer Weiss; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert and Richard.

Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in LeRoy, with Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack officiating. Visitation was prior to the service.

Inurnment was at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery, with graveside military rites conducted by the Lomira American Legion Post #347.
