Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg for Arline Janke, who died on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at the age of 96. Visitation will take place on Wednesday at the church, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., prior to the service. The Rev. Randolph Raasch will officiate the funeral service and interment will take place at Immanuel Cemetery. Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg is serving the family.
Arline was born on July 20, 1910 in Mitchell, daughter of William and Bertha (nee Moehr) Kundo. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paulís Lutheran Church in Cascade. Arline graduated from Waldo High School in 1927. In 1928, she graduated from the Sheboygan County Normal, a teachers college, and then taught grade school for the next four years. On July 1, 1936 she married Arne Janke in Lyndon. Their marriage was blessed with one son, Richard.
In 1952, Arline was employed by Fromm Laboratory in Grafton, where she worked as a laboratory technician. She retired in 1975.
Arline is survived by her son Richard (Cheryl) Janke of Cedarburg; sisters Norma Balzan of Plymouth and Elaine (Fred) Rials of Texas; brother-in-law Herbert Schulz; sisters-in-law Edna Sommer, Erna Janke and Dolores Janke. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Arline was preceded in death by her husband Arne; her parents; and many other siblings.
