James R. Kranz
James R. Kranz of Hartford passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 52 years old.
He was born June 30, 1954 in Milwaukee to Kenneth and Shirley (nee Wesphal) Kranz. James married Geralyn Holzman on June 19, 1982 at St. Margaret Mary Church in Milwaukee.
James worked for the KSM Industries in Germantown for over 30 years. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, softball, and snowmobiling. He also was an assistant coach for softball, basketball and baseball. He was a Cub Scout master and belonged to the Jaycees.
He is survived by his loving wife, Geralyn; two children, Kevin and Julie Kranz of Hartford: his parents, Kenneth and Shirley Kranz; parents-in-law, Rose (The late John) Holzman; one brother, Lawrence (Mary) Kranz of Lake Tomahawk; one sister, Kathy (Arthur) Rink of Sussex; and nieces and nephews, Kathryn, Mackenzie and Jacob. James is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, John Holzman, and a nephew, Lawrence.
Mass of Christian Burial for James was Saturday, July 22, 2006 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Hubertus, with Fr. Charles Hanel officiating. Family greeted relatives and friends on Friday, July 21, 2006 at Shimon Funeral Home in Hartford.
Interment was at St. Hubertís Cemetery, Hubertus.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association appreciated.
