Glenn W. Hayden
Glenn W. Hayden of Pewaukee passed away Thursday, July 20, 2006 at his daughter’s residence. He was 65 years old.
He was born March 4, 1941 in Rock Falls to Robert and Lucille (nee Kern) Hayden. He married Vivian Ciancimino Nov. 18, 1961 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waukesha.
In 1984 Glenn started the original Banner Crafts, (Ben Franklin) in Hartford and also owned the Banner Crafts in Menomonee Falls, Grafton and Waukesha. He owned Legendz, formerly Marty Zivko’s Ballroom, from 1990-1998. Glenn was an entrepreneur and successful businessman. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and his grandchildren. Glenn belonged to the Kettle Moraine Lions Club.
He is survived by his three children, Lori (Bob) Teel of Hartland, John (Tracy) Hayden of Ariz. and Carlo Hayden of San Diego; eight grandchildren, Dominic, Bobby, Noah, McKenzie, Connor, Shaye, Hayden and Payton; three sisters, Evie (Chuck) Schoenoff, Elaine (Allen) Hoff, Sally (Larry) Janssen; two sisters-in-law, Marie Hayden, Maria (Steve) Vick; one brother-in-law, Fred (Joanne) Ciancimino; former wife, Susan Wood. Glenn is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; late wife Vivian; brothers, Vernon (Jean) and Ken Hayden.
Memorial Services for Glenn were held Sunday, July 23, 2006 at Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford with Fr. David LaPlante officiating. Family greeted relatives and friends prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials to the American Cancer Society for Lung Cancer Research, the Rolland Nelson Crossroads Hospice, Hartland or the Kettle Moraine Lions Club appreciated.
Shimon Funeral Home assisted the family.
