Arcella V. Jacklin

Arcella V. Jacklin, nee Neuburg, 84, of Hubertus, was greeted by the Lord on Friday, July 28, 2006 at her residence.

Arcella was born on Oct. 20, 1921 in Hubertus, where she was also raised, to the late Joseph and Barbara (nee Schmitt) Neuburg.

She married her best friend and soulmate, Lester S. Jacklin, in 1941 in the Chicago area.

She worked in the Chicago area, while Lester was serving with the US Army.

When Lesterís tour of duty was over, the couple moved to the Hubertus area and started a family of their own.

Arcella was employed at Badger Meter Inc. of Brown Deer for over 29 years.

She loved to work in her vegetable and flower gardens, work on crossword puzzles, and knit and crochet things for her family.

Arcella was a member of St. Gabrielís Catholic Church, the American Legion Auxiliary Goetz-St. Louis Post 522 of Hubertus, where she was also a chaplain, the Richfield Historical Society and the Quarter Century Club from Badger Meter Inc.

Arcella will be deeply missed by her cherished son, Richard Jacklin of Hubertus; her dear sister, Isabelle "Belle" Rummel of San Antonio, Texas; and three sisters-in-law, Arlene Woldt, Marie Roebel and Katherine Neuburg.

Nieces, nephews, other special relatives and many friends further survive her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1996; and her siblings and their spouses, Herb (Harriet) Neuburg, Aloys Neuburg, Clara (Hugo) Umhoefer, Rose (Earl) Simon, Lawrence (Marge) Neuburg, John Neuburg, Chris Neuburg, Ervin Neuburg, Helen (Kenneth) Beilfuss, Mathew Neuburg and Gene Rummel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Aug. 2, at noon at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 1200 St. Gabriel Way, Hubertus, with Father Charles Hanel officiating.

Interment will follow at St. Hubert Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the church only on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at noon.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation for memorials for Masses, in lieu of flowers.
