George Clifford Styduhar
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 5:30 p.m. today at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church North in Cedarburg for George Clifford Styduhar. George passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2006 at the age of 75. The Rev. Michael Lightner will officiate the funeral service. Visitation will be held at the church at 4 p.m., prior to the service. (Interment will take place with the family at a later date.) Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg is serving the family.
George was born on April 17, 1931 in Bronx, N.Y., to Andrew and Anna (nee Duda) Styduhar. He was a veteran of the Korean War and received two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star for his service while in the U.S. Marine Corps. He married Barbara (nee Bock) in 1957 and relocated to the Milwaukee area. There he raised his family and enjoyed 38 years of employment with the Pabst Brewing Company as the corporate credit manager. George was a strong supporter of youth and was involved with Junior Achievement. For 10 years he served as the co-director and coach for Cedarburg youth basketball. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed many hours at the pier in Port Washington.
George is survived by his wife Barbara; daughter Nancy (Tim) Flood of Watertown; son Paul of Jackson; grandsons Christopher and Patrick of Watertown; brother Frank of Glendale, Calif.; and sister Catherine Yuva of Port Washington, N.Y. He is further survived by three nieces, two nephews and many close family and friends.
George was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter.
George will always be remembered for his strength of character, generous nature and devotion to his family.
