Roy O. Kallenberger
Roy O. Kallenberger, 88, of West Bend, formerly of Wauwa-tosa, was born into eternal life on Tuesday, May 30, 2006.
Roy was born Feb. 3, 1918, in Milwaukee to the late August and Katherine (nee Krause) Kallen-berger.
He is the beloved husband of 64 years of Dolores E. Kallenberger (nee Zielinski); the loving father of Polly (the late George) Boerner, the late Wayne (Marcia) Kallenberger and JoAnn (Craig) Sternke; proud grandfather of Christopher (Colleen) Kallen-berger, Katherine (Mike) Kordys, Kevin Boerner, Kim (Dave) Ferrier, Claire (Scott) Mazur, Nathan Kallenberger, and Kate, Christian and Matthew Sternke; and special great-grandfather of Lily, Abby, Holden, Max, Luke, Leah and Carolyn.
Roy will also be remembered by many other special relatives and dear friends.
After serving in the U.S. Navy as a lieutenant in World War II, Roy enjoyed a career at Marquette University that spanned 40 years.
He enjoyed serving at Mar-quette University as a professor in the College of Engineering, director of Physical Plant, business manager, and vice president of Business and Finance.
Most recently, he and Dolores were proud and loyal members of Cedar Community.
Roy’s life was enriched by the many blessings of a wonderful God, the love of family, many rich friendships and a joy for life that inspired and touched all he met.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Roy’s life will be held on Monday, June 5, at 11 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 1025 S. Seventh Ave., West Bend, with Father Jeffrey Haines, along with members of the Jesuit Community of Marquette University, officiating.
Visitation with family and friends will be held at the church on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11 a.m.
