Donald Dennis Ruh

Donald Dennis Ruh, 73, passed away at home after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, June 5, 2006.

He was born March 20, 1933 in Milwaukee, the son of Roland and Hazel (nee Pierce) Ruh.

Donald is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth (nee Ecker); children, Debra (Daniel) Sailer, Denise (Dave) Kube, Dean and Deanna (Christopher) Keil; a sister-in-law, Jean (Stephen) Barber; a brother-in-law, Michael (Kath-erine) Ecker; his mother-in-law, Eileen Ecker; and his beloved cats, Smokey and Bandit.

He is further survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, DuWayne, Dale and Douglas; and his father-in-law, John A. Ecker.

Throughout his lifetime, Donald was a man of many trades.

He was a welder, a builder, former employee of Stolper Steel, the head of maintenance at Samaritan Health Center, and was the owner of Pieces of Time Antiques in West Bend.

He was born with the ability to fix anything.

A funeral service to honor Donald will be held on Thursday, June 8, at 7 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 140 N. Seventh Ave., with Pastor David Schoob officiating.

Cremation will take place at Paradise Cremation Services of West Bend.

Visitation with family and friends will be held at the church only on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m.

The family would like to extend their appreciation for memorials that are offered in lieu of flowers to either the family or the Washington County Humane Society, 3650 Highway 60, Slinger, WI 53086.
