Stanley J. Kolassa

Stanley J. Kolassa, 87, of Wauwatosa, formerly of Slinger, entered into eternal peace on Monday, June 5, 2006 at Luther Manor of Wauwatosa.

Stanley was born April 23, 1919 to Simon and Eva (nee Korotka) Kolassa in Milwaukee, where he also spent his childhood.

He worked for Weyenberg Shoes in Milwaukee for over 40 years.

Stanley moved to the Slinger area in 1984, and remained there until 1999.

He loved watching ball games at the community park, in addition to offering his full-fledged support to the Braves and Brewers.

Stanley also spent his spare time playing cards and playing in the Bell Choir at Luther Manor.

He was a member of St. Peterís Catholic Church in Slinger, where he volunteered as an usher, and was a member of the Holy Name Society.

Stanley will be kept in the hearts of his dear nieces and nephews, Dolores Baesmann of West Bend, Donald (Barbara) Peplinski of Menomonee Falls, Esther Enking of Sheboygan, Eugene (Rita) Peplinski of Jack-son, Kathleen Livingood of West Bend and Barbara (Richard) Estrada of Hartford.

He will also be remembered by many great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews, other special relatives and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Anna (Henry) Peplinski and Josephine (George) Grenier; and one niece, and nephew, Marilyn (David) Carlson.

A Mass of Christian Burial to honor Stanley will be held on Thursday, June 8, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Peterís Catholic Church, 202 E. Washington St., Slinger, with Father Richard J. Stoffel officiating.

Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, at the church only from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials are offered to either St. Peterís Catholic Church or to the Luther Manor Foundation, 4545 N. 92nd, Milwaukee, WI 53225.
