Gary W. Coppens

Gary W. Coppens, 73, of Green Bay, died Monday, June 12, 2006, at a local nursing home.

He was born Feb. 19, 1933, in Green Bay to Norman and Eva (Hopkins) Coppens, and on Dec. 6, 1996, Gary was united in marriage to Beverly Vander Zeyden in Green Bay.

Gary was a member of Bay City Baptist Church and was a former member of First Bible Baptist Church.

He enjoyed listening to audio books and calling in to many local radio shows.

Gary is survived by his wife, Beverly; a half brother, Ronald, and a half sister, Donna, both of Arizona; a brother-in-law and his wife, Virgil and Peggy Peters of West Bend; a cousin, Mercedes Stievo of Green Bay; his father-in-law, Arthur Wilkens of West Bend; many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Eva and Fred Hendricksen.

Friends may call at the Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., Green Bay, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The funeral service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.
