Wallace F. "Wally" Pergande

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg for Wallace F. "Wally" Pergande of Grafton, who passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at the age of 84. The Rev. Wilmer Reichmann will officiate the funeral service. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., prior to the service. Interment will take place at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg. Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg is serving the family.

Wally was born on Feb. 19, 1922 in Cedarburg, son of Henry and Anna (nee Schneider) Pergande. He was a graduate of Cedarburg High School and was well-known to the community as "Wally the Milk Man," as he drove a truck and delivered milk for the Cedarburg Dairy for over 29 years. He later worked for the Grafton Public School System.

Wally married Lillian (nee Marron) Pergande on Dec. 26, 1942 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton. Their marriage was blessed with three children.

Wally was a member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.

Wally is survived by his wife Lillian (nee Marron) of Grafton; children Annette (Al) Mentzel of Grafton, Ellen (Michael) Tolzman of Cedarburg and Jan (Tammie) Pergande of Cedarburg; sister Gladys (Harold) Woltring of Cedarburg; grandchildren Timothy (Julia) Mentzel, Bryan (Deana) Mentzel, Kristin (Chad) Melnick, Lori (Robert) Marien, Rebecca Tolzman, Rachel Tolzman, Adam Pergande and Evan Pergande. He is further survived by six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Wally was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
