Renora V. Falkenstein

Renora V. Falkenstein, nee Moldenhauer, 93, of Hartford passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at the Hartford Care Center.

She was born March 5, 1913 at her parents’ home in the town of Herman to William and Alma (nee Westphal) Moldenhauer, and married Harvey Falkenstein on April 27, 1935 at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Iron Ridge.

Harvey and Renora farmed in the Huilsburg area all their life.

Renora was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Huilsburg. She enjoyed playing sheepshead with friends, going to polka dances and square dancing.

Renora loved to travel and vacation to many places around the country, including one of her favorites, Austria.

She is survived by her three children, Gerald (Sara) Falkenstein, Carolyn (Ned) Lepien and Eugene (Jane) Falkenstein, all of Hartford; six grandchildren, Margaret Lind-berg (fiancˇ Leo Hoag III), Christopher (Nicole) Falkenstein, Eric (Jacqueline) Lepien, Scott (Jennie) Lepien, Chad Falken-stein and Shelly (Jared) Jenkins; five great-grandchildren, Jon-athan and Brandon Lindberg, Alexander, Emily and Timothy Lepien; and a brother, Harlin (Luvillis) Moldenhauer of Iron Ridge.

Renora is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey in 1994; three brothers, Gilbert, Lorenz and Ervin Moldenhauer; a brother-in-law, Edly Baumann; and four sisters-in-law, Magdalene, Lydia and Ruth Moldenhauer and Sylvia Baumann.

Funeral services for Renora will be held Monday, June 19, at 7 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford.

Rev. Daniel Falck will officiate, and interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Huilsburg.

Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m.
