Ashley Rose Birkholz

Ashley Rose Birkholz, 15, of Hartford passed into eternal life on Friday, June 16, 2006 at her residence surrounded by her loving and supporting family.

Ashley was born May 1, 1991 in Hartford, the daughter of Thomas Gassen and Suzanne Birkholz.

Ashley was a student at Lincoln and Rossman elementary schools and had a special eighth- grade graduation from Central Middle School.

Ashley was a young girl who made a lasting impact and touched in some way everyone she would come in contact with.

Her interests were varied from arts and crafts, to shopping, to cooking and to school.

She loved animals and that love drew her to the humane society where she would do anything she could to help them.

She loved to be around small children. She would mother them in her own special way just as she did being a big sister.

She will be deeply missed and loved by everyone who knew her in her life.

This unique daughter gave the gift of unconditional love in every sense to all around her. Ashley will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her parents, Thomas Gassen of Hartford and Suzanne Birkholz-Lucka of West Bend; her loving siblings, Rachelle, Tadeus and Forrest; and her proud grandparents, Lorraine Gassen of Hartford and Gary and Barbara Birkholz of Kewaskum.

Further surviving are aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Ashley will be on Wednesday, June 21, at 7 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford.

Rev. Douglas Livingston and Ben Stratton will officiate, and interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m.

Memorials to Children’s Hos-pital of Wisconsin, the American Cancer Society or the family are appreciated.
