Elmer Henry Ohrmund

Elmer Henry Ohrmund, 94, of West Bend, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2006 at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend.

He was born on Dec. 25, 1911 in Brownsville to the late Albert and Lena (nee Otto) Ohrmund.

Elmer was a municipal employee for the city of West Bend. He was also employed by the West Bend Canning Co. for many years.

When he wasnít working, Elmer enjoyed playing cards. He also enjoyed being outdoors working on his garden.

His greatest love in life was fishing.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Cedar Lake.

He is survived by his two sisters, Florence (William) Endres of Slinger and Ruth (Wilbur) Redlin of West Bend.

He is further survived by a sister-in-law, Veronica Ohrmund of West Bend, and other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents; five brothers, Oscar, Harold (Voleska), Ervin (Clara), Wilmer (Mabel) and Albert (Valda) Ohrmund; and three sisters, Esther (Andrew) Staehler, Gertrude (Lawrence) Minch and Viola (Delmar) Derge.

Funeral services in honor of Elmer were held on Wednesday, June 21, at 7 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home in West Bend.

Rev. Paul Reede officiated and burial was in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.

Visitation with the family was at the funeral home on Wednes-day, from 5 p.m. until the time of service.

Memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Cedar Lake, or to St. Paulís Evangelical Lutheran Church, Slinger would be appreciated by the family.
