Beverly A. "Bev" Herman

She attended David’s Star grade school and later West Bend High School.

She met Kenneth R. Herman at a dance, where she devoted her heart to him.

Ken honorably went into the United States Marine Corps, and after returning the couple dedicated their lives to one another on Nov. 14, 1953 at David’s Star Church in Jackson.

They resided in the Jackson area and began a loving family of their own.

Bev worked at the Universal Strap Co. in Jackson from 1978 until her retirement in 2005.

She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and American Legion Auxiliary Henry F. Gumm Post 486.

Bev enjoyed camping, taking care of "Chloe," the family Yorkie, but above all, spending quality time with her family and her dear grandchildren.

She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Ken; her daughters, Pam (Paul) Esselman of Jackson, Sue (Tom) Herther of Jackson, Kay Herman (special friend, Jim "Jonesy" Korth) of Kewaskum and Amy (Dan) Ermer of Kewaskum; her cherished grandchildren, Kristin Esselman (fiancˇ Dan Feller), Erik Esselman, Jason and Megan Herther, Tyler and Brooke Wagner, Ashley Kuechler, and Dan "DJ" and Jacob Ermer; a brother, Donald Butzke of Jackson; a sister, Yvonne (Alfred) Nunez of Jackson; and two sisters-in-law, Marlene (Gene) Hagenow and Ardeen Krueger both of Jackson.

She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other very special relatives and dear friends.

Bev was greeted at the gates of heaven by her parents; one brother, James Butzke; her parents-in-law, Ray and Irma Herman; and her sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Audrey (Carl) Duenkel and Al Krueger.

A funeral service in honor of Bev will be held on Saturday, June 24, at 1:30 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, with Rev. Richard Lawrence officiating.

Following the service, interment will take place in Washing-ton County Memorial Park, West Bend.
