Bonnie J. Boehm

Bonnie J. Boehm, (nee McPhillips), of West Bend entered into eternal peace on Friday, June 23, 2006 surrounded by her loving family at All Saints Healthcare, at the age of 59.

Bonnie was born on September 5, 1946 to Roy and Delores (nee Meyer) McPhillips in Racine, where she was also raised. She attended and graduated from Park High School with the class of 1964. She met Tom Boehm in high school, and in January of 1965 they married. They resided in Racine, where they began their own loving family, and later moved to Jackson. Bonnie was a dedicated employee of The Great Party Store for over 20 years. She enjoyed reading, listening to a wide variety of music, and collecting lighthouses and boats. Above all other pastimes, Bonnie loved the time she was able to spend with her children and granddaughter; they were the light of her life.

Bonnie has found an everlasting spot in the hearts of her children, Melissa (Jamie) Dahm of West Bend and the late Rebecca Boehm; her granddaughter, Kiersten Dahm; her mother, Delores L. McPhillips of Racine; her siblings, Joy (Clay) Baker of Racine, John "Jack" (Pam) McPhillips of Racine, Wendy (Mike) Craemer of New Holstein, and Julie McPhillips (Kurt Moon) of Tipton, Iowa; her special friend, Hal Nichol of Milwaukee; and her feline companion, "Pook." She will also be deeply missed by nieces, nephews, other special relatives, and many dear friends. Bonnie was preceded in death by her father, Roy; and her daughter, Rebecca.

A Funeral Service to honor Bonnie will be held on Monday, June 26, 2006 at 7 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, WI 53095), with Chaplain Cheryl L. Matusiak officiating. Cremation will take place at Paradise Cremation Services of West Bend, followed by an interment of remains at Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 26, 2006 from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family would like to extend their appreciation for memorials in honor of Bonnie in lieu of flowers. They would also like to thank the Oncology Department at Community Memorial and the nursing staff at St. Mary’s Hospital in Racine for the wonderful care that was offered to Bonnie. They would also like to thank their family, especially Bonnie’s siblings for all the love, compassion and generosity that was extended to them throughout this difficult time.
