James R. "Jim" Yaeger

James R. "Jim" Yaeger, 74, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2006 at the Linden Grove Nursing Home in Menomonee Falls.

He was the beloved husband of the late Shirley (nee Kurth) Yaeger; father of Debra Christopherson, Lisa (Brian) Byrum and Yvonne (Dean) Risch; and stepfather of Mike (Cynthia) Cassidy and Mark Cassidy.

He is also survived by his mother, Lucille (nee Miller) Yaeger; his sister, Patricia (Dale) Anderson; a sister-in-law, Margaret Yaeger; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; other very special relatives and dear friends.

James was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Yaeger; his brother, Robert W. Yaeger; and a daughter-in-law, Rose Cassidy.

James was born Aug. 2, 1931 in Ladysmith, was baptized on Oct. 11, 1931 at St. Johnís Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ladysmith and was confirmed on April 14, 1946 at Emmaus Evangelical Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.

Jim served in the Korean War from 1952-1954.

He married Shirley J. (nee Kurth) Cassidy on Nov. 12, 1955, at Emmaus Evangelical Lutheran Church.

He worked as a meat cutter in Milwaukee at J.C. Lovas Market and Premium Meats, and in Slinger, at Hansen Foods.

He was also a truck driver for Bultman Trucking Co. in Milwau-kee.

A memorial service to honor Jim will be held on Wednesday, June 28, at 7 p.m. at Crown Life Lutheran Church, 1292 Tally Ho Trail, Hubertus, with Rev. Mike Helwig officiating.

Visitation will be held at the church only on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7 p.m.

Cremation will take place at Paradise Cremation Services, West Bend, followed by a private interment of cremains at Wash-ington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
