Walter Pottruff, 71, of Amherst Junction, passed away Friday, Feb. 24, 2006 at his residence.
He was born in West Allis on Sept. 21, 1934, the son of William Stanley and Viola (Peul) Pottruff. Walter was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He loved planes, hunting and the time he spent with his family.
He is survived by his lifetime love, Shirley Pottruff, of Arkansas; children, Robert (Heidi) Pottruff of Amherst Junction, Deborah (Jim) Luckiesh of Campbellsport, and Stanley Pottruff of Horicon; grandchildren, Noah, Nicolaus and Tiara Luckiesh and Makaiya Pottruff; brothers, Earl Pottruff of Stevens Point, Ivan Pottruff of Plover; and sisters, Carol Peterson of California and Myrtle (John) Salvatore of Minnesota. Walter is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Rodger.
A memorial service will be Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 3:30 p.m. at Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst Junction, with James Hollingsworth officiating. A memorial visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 p.m. to the time of the service.
Private interment of the cremains will be held at a later date.
