Robert A. Janssen

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. today at Community United Methodist Church in Cedarburg for Robert A. Janssen of Cedarburg, who passed away at home on Thursday, March 2, 2006 at the age of 72. Visitation will be at the church today, from 5 p.m. until the time of service. Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg is serving the family.

Robert was born in Milwaukee on Aug. 20, 1933 to the late Karl and Norma (nee Weisendanger) Janssen. He married June Trestrail on Dec. 13, 1958 at First Ev. United Brethren Church in Milwaukee.

Robert was a longtime resident of Cedarburg and served in the U.S. Navy from 1956-57. He enjoyed spending time with his family and hunting with his friends. He was also a member of several gun clubs.

Robert is survived by his wife June (nee Trestrail) Janssen of Cedarburg; children Susan Lewis of Grafton (Gary Kanarowski), Sheryl Skenandor of Green Bay, Robert (Lynda) Janssen of Germantown, Julie (Scott) Schowalter of Grafton and Jeffrey (Kori) Janssen of Waukesha; grandchildren Alisha, Jason, Sheila, Cassi, Lexi, Brynn, Shannon, Brent and Amber; and his sister Mary Jacobs of Grafton. He is further survived by five great-grandchildren and will be sadly missed by many other relatives and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his sister Milie Stauber; and brothers Carl and Earl Janssen.
