June C. Kneifl
June C. Kneifl, 86, of Fond du Lac passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Fond du Lac County Health Care Center in Fond du Lac.
She was born on April 24, 1919 in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Brown) Batzler, and on Oct. 11, 1944, she was united in marriage with Jerome Kneifl at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee.
During their married life, June traveled extensively with her husband who served in the U. S. Navy. She was a proud Navy wife and very patriotic.
The couple was very involved with Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Jerome preceded his wife in death on March 27, 1982.
June was a member of St. Kilian Catholic Church in St. Kilian.
Survivors include a brother, Joseph Batzler of Menomonee Falls; two sisters-in-law, Marie Kneifl of Milwaukee and Helen Batzler of Bermuda Dunes, Calif.; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis and John Batzler; four sisters, Florence (Lawrence) Rinzel, Margaret Batzler, Lucille (Daniel) Kacz-marek and Vernie (John) Fox; and a sister-in-law, Lorraine Batzler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, at St. Kilian Catholic Church in St. Kilian.
Father Jerome Rinzel and Father Neil Zinthefer will be the concelebrants, and burial will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
