Paula Marie Brunner
Paula Marie Brunner, nee Bazelak), 55, of West Bend, passed away Friday, March 24, 2006 at her home.
She was born Jan. 2, 1951 to Clement and Sara (Jannetto) Bazelak in Milwaukee.
Paula attended John Marshall High School, graduating in 1969. She attended MATC for two years and Moraine Park Technical College for two years.
She married Dennis M. Brunner on Oct. 11, 1980.
Paula was employed at JC Penny Co. for 23 years, and had been employed at the West Bend Daily News for the past four years.
The couple raised their family in West Bend.
Paula loved camping, gardening, crafting and above all, helping all children.
She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, and had been an active member of Alanon for the past 11 years.
Paula will be deeply missed by her husband Dennis; her children, Tod of Chippewa Falls, Penny (Matthew) Flaskrud of Horicon and Andrew of West Bend.
Further surviving are her grandchildren, Dylan, Danielle, Kyle, Kevin, Kimberly, Kelsey and Kourtney; her mother, Sara "Sandy" Bazelak of West Bend; two sisters, Sheryl (Don) Ulemen of West Bend and Nancy (Jon) Schlindwein of West Bend; a brother, Marty (Ruth) Bazelak of West Bend; a brother-in-law, Richard Jr. (Rita) of Durand; sisters-in-law, Rose Bauer of Burlington, Antoinette (Gerald) Bauer of Durand, Beatrice (William) Newcomb of Pepin, Susan (Gary) Alexander of Montello and Sharon (Terry) Weisenbeck of Durand; godmother and confirmation sponsor to Jennifer Schlindwein and Martin Bazelak; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father; four grandchildren, Mitchell, Kaila, Konnor and Kasey; her parents-in-laws, Richard and Marcella Brunner Sr.; and a brother-in-law, Duane "Hoppy" Bauer.
A Mass of Christian Burial to honor Paula will be on Tuesday, March 28, at 7 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Father Gerald Brittain officiating.
Interment will take place in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation will be at the church only on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until the time of Mass at 7 p.m.
