Monica M. Kroeger
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on at 7 p.m. today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Grafton, for Monica M. Kroeger (a.k.a. Mike), 71, of Grafton, who died on March 25, 2006 at her home surrounded by her family. Visitation will be at the church today from 4:30 p.m. until time of service. Mueller Funeral Home of Cedarburg assisted the family.
Monica was born in Norton, Ill., on June 28, 1934 to Dorothy (nee LeGris) and the late Lawrence Ruder. Monica was united in marriage to Jerome H. Kroeger on Feb. 5, 1955. Monica and Jerome were past owner/operator of The Hutch tavern in Grafton. Monica’s favorite pastime was quilting.
Monica is survived by her husband Jerome Kroeger of Grafton; children Jerry (Sue) Kroeger of Grafton, Cathy Kroeger (Deb) of Greenfield, Cindy Lu (Vince) Conroy of Hartford, John (Diane) Kroeger of Grand Marsh, Mike (Shelly) Kroeger of Waubeka, Joe (Marina) Kroeger of Tucson, Ariz., Bob Kroeger of Des Moines, Wash., and Tim Kroeger of Grafton; grandchildren Kevin, Bonnie, Daniel, Garrett, Chris, Joe, Andy, Laura, Jessica, Austin, Samantha, James and Matthew; mother Dorothy Ruder; siblings Alicia (Robert) Bott, Lawrence (Mayomi) Ruder, Roberta (the late Joseph) Puglise, Leon (Jeanine) Ruder, Paul (Jean) Ruder, Richard (Cecilia, a.k.a. Mike) Ruder, Gary (Karen) Ruder, Patricia (Martin) Gureski, Steve (Bernie) Ruder, Peggy (Larry) Honeck, Lenny (Barbara) Ruder, Letty (James) Reisdorf, Mark (Pam) Ruder, Marty (Anna Lee) Ruder, Greg Ruder. Monica was preceded in death by her father Lawrence; a sister, Mary Catherine Ruder; and a brother, Tom Ruder.
Monica will be greatly missed by her quilting family, especially the members of the Heritage Quilters and It’s A Stitch Quilt Guild.
