Ellsworth George "Big Al" Shock
A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday at the Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton for Ellsworth George "Big Al" Shock Jr. of Neshkoro, formerly of Grafton, who died Monday, March 27, 2006 at the age of 78. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service. Mueller Funeral Home Grafton assisted the family.
Ellsworth was born in Chippewa Falls on Oct. 25, 1927 to the late Ellsworth Sr. and Frances (nee Bergstrom) Shock and married Shirley (nee Capes) on Jan. 17, 1948 in Neillsville.
Ellsworth supervised the Penny Wise Car Washes in the Milwaukee area, he worked at the Cedarburg Dairy from 1960-70 and was instrumental in and part owner of Car Cleen Car Wash in Grafton. He also loved to fish on the Big Chetek, he was a wonderful dancer and a good billiard and card player.
He is survived by his wife Shirley of Cedarburg; children Steven (June) of Grafton, Deborah K. (Tom) Marach of Grafton, Richard (Nancy) of Grafton, Pamela (Craig) Griffith of Saukville and Susan (Edward) White of Saukville; sisters Joyce Frei of Whitehall and Nancy (Dick) Brooks of Morris, Ill. He is further survived by 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
