Wilbert A. Weinhold

Wilbert A. Weinhold, 85, of Cascade, passed away late Sunday evening, April 30, 2006 at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center in West Bend, where he had been a resident the past 14 months.

He was born Aug. 14, 1920 in the town of Lyndon, the son of the late Alvin and Selma (nee Stolper) Weinhold, and attended Lyndon Grade School and Waldo High School.

On Sept. 3, 1960 he married Adeline Doms of the town of Kewaskum, at Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum.

The couple resided in the village of Cascade in their present home all their married life.

Wilbert was employed during the canning season at the Waldo Canning Co. and also part time during the winter months at the Waldo Feed Mill as well as farming with his parents.

In 1955 he became employed full time at the Gilson Brothers Manufacturing plant in Ply-mouth, as an assembler and assistant lead man for 32 years, retiring in June of 1987.

In his retirement Wilbert farmed again until 1995.

He had been a member of the Lyndon-Mitchell Farm Bureau.

Wilbert was a lifelong member of St. Paulís Lutheran Church LMS in Cascade and a member of the AAL branch of the church.

He was also an avid outdoorsman, hunting small game and deer, and enjoyed fishing for trout, northerns and perch in the area lakes and streams.

Survivors include his loving and caring wife of 45 years, Adeline, and a fond sister in-law, Marion Doms of Kewaskum, as well as cousins and other relative and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 4, at 7 p.m. at St. Paulís Lutheran Church in Cascade.

Rev Richard Bidinger, pastor of the church, will officiate, and burial will be in Peace United Church of Christ Cemetery, Highway 28, town of Kewaskum.

Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 5 p.m. until the hour of service.

A memorial fund will be established in Wilbertís name for St. Paulís Lutheran Church and the Cascade First Responders.
