Corine E. Harris
Corine E. Harris, (nee Wald), 71, of West Bend was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 4, 2006 at Maple Dale Manor surrounded by her loving family.
Corine was born on the Fourth of July in 1934, to Martin J. and Janet M. (nee Wollenzien) Wald in Milwaukee, where she also spent her childhood. She attended Divine Savior High School. After her graduation, she honorably joined the United States Air Force Reserves.
During the time in which she spent serving her country, she met her soul mate, Edwin L. Harris. On April 18, 1958, in Fort Atkinson, Corine and Edwin dedicated their love and their lives to one another through their exchange of wedding vows.
After marriage, the couple began a beautiful family of their own, whom Corine devoted her love and energy to raising and nurturing. They spent several years traveling with Edwin’s career in the Air Force, and in 1976, they moved to the Jackson area.
Corine began working as a seamstress for Amity Leather from 1977 until 1994. After proudly retiring, Edwin and Corine purchased a motor home and spent their free time traveling, like they loved to do. In addition to traveling, Corine also enjoyed every moment that she was able to spend with her family, especially her grandchildren.
