Richard Glenn "Zuk" Eierman

Richard Glenn "Zuk" Eierman, 57, of West Bend, died April 8, 2006 at Tidewell Hospice in Venice, Fla.

He was born March 7, 1949 in Wauwatosa, lived on Big Cedar Lake and spent parts of the last 11 winters in his home in Venice, Fla. On May 7, 2005 Zuk and Sonia were married at the lake.

Richard was owner and operator of NiPhos Coatings Inc. of Slinger. He graduated from Wauwatosa East High School in 1967, and received engineering and accounting degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He served in the Air Force, was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and served on the University of Wisconsin Alumni Association Scholarship Committee.

For many years Zuk hosted the Annual August Big Cedar Lake Summer Follies for family and friends at his lake home. He was a proud sponsor of Slinger Little League, the Slinger Advancement Association and Boy Scout Pack 3731, among other organizations and groups.

While in Florida, he was a member of The South Venice Beach Committee.

Survivors include his most beloved wife, Sonia; their pets, Grunia and Keesa; his sister, Nancy J. Bartelt (Richard) of Venice, Fla.; brothers, Dr. Robert Eierman (Lisa) of Eau Claire and Donald Eierman of Slinger; his nieces, Lynette Meissner (Joel) and Natalie, Lauren, and Rachel Eierman; other relatives and many dear friends.

An informal memorial celebration will be held Sunday, May 14, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend. Cremation took place in Venice, Fla.
