Victor F. Roeglin

Victor F. Roeglin, 86, of West Bend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 7, 2006 at the Samaritan Health Center.

Victor was born on Nov. 21, 1919 to William and Helen (nee Colberg) Roeglin in Cedarburg, where he spent his childhood.

After his graduation from Cedarburg High School, he became employed as a welder.

Victor continued working until Dec. 11, 1942, when he honorably entered into the United States military during the Second World War.

After serving his country, he returned to the West Bend area, where he was a dedicated employee at several places.

Victor will be remembered as being highly patriotic, and was an active member of the American Legion Post 36 of West Bend.

Placing of the American flags at cemeteries for Memorial Day was a great and proud honor of his.

Victor also loved to fish, hunt and ride his Harley Davidson in his younger years.

Survivors include his nieces, Judy (Michael) Novshek of town of Erin and Joanne (Paul) Soper of Arizona; his great-nephew, Bruce (Traci) Scholze of West Bend; and his great-great-nephews, Tyler and Joshua Scholze of West Bend.

He is further survived by other relatives and dear friends.

Victor was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen; and his sister, Anita Wick.

A funeral service to honor Victor will be held on Friday, May 12, at 7 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend.

Cremation will take place at Paradise Cremation Services of West Bend, followed by interment of ashes in Newark Cemetery in the town of Barton.

Visitation with family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m.

The family would like to request that memorials are donated to the American Legion Post 36 of West Bend, in lieu of flowers.
