Betty A. Spella

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. today at the Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg for Betty A. Spella (nee Keehn) of Cedarburg, who died on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at the age of 79. Visitation will be held today, from 4 p.m. until the time of service.

Betty was born in Romona, S.D., on Aug. 11, 1927, the daughter of the late Verge and Anna (nee Menzel) Keehn. Betty, along with her late husbands Ray Hadler and Ted Spella, owned and operated Hadler Lanes in Thiensville for 27 years. After retiring to Arizona, Betty worked as an X-ray technician and an assisted caregiver to the elderly.

Betty is survived by her children Fred Hadler, Barb Koens, Jerry Hadler and Kevin Hadler; stepchildren Jerilyn (Peter) Norum and Jim Wyman; grandchildren Ryan Koens, Sean (Vicki) Koens, Jason (Jenny) Hadler, Andy (Debbie) Hadler, Joyce Hadler, Caitlin Hadler, Jamie Hadler, Melissa Krueger, Meg Shanahan, JP Norum, and Zach and Jessica Wyman; great-grandchildren Evan Hadler, Ben Hadler, Gretta Krueger, and Joe and Emma Shanahan; sister Dolly (Teno) Mueller; brother Doug (Coralee) Keehn; and sister-in-law Doris Keehn. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by husbands Ray Hadler and Ted Spella; son-in-law Andy Koens; daughter-in-law Nancy Hadler; stepdaughter Nancy Wyman; brothers Bud and Gene Keehn; sisters Fern (Chet) Chamberlin, Thelma (Harold) Klauck and June (Ben) Grosser.
