Sharon R. Benzing
Sharon R. Benzing of Juneau, was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away Saturday, May 27, 2006 at the age of 66 years. She was born Jan. 2, 1940 in Milwaukee, the daughter of John and Ruth (nee Gauger) Cookson. She was an avid outdoor enthusiast and dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her dear husband, James Benzing; her loving children, Frank (Pamela) Sontag, Darren (Dawn) Sontag, Paul (Sara) Benzing, Mary (fiancˇ Justin Krueger) Kirchoff, Amy (Justin) Jones, Scott Benzing and James (Amanda) Benzing. She is the loving sister of Larry Cookson, precious grandmother of Adam, Sean, Cassandra, Heather, Kelsey, Erika, Kendra, Ashley and Elijah, and great-grandmother of Noah, Damien and Cameron. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Sharon is preceded in death by her first husband, Frank C. Sontag; her parents; her brother, John Cookson; and sisters, Judy Thurich and Maryann Rossebo.
The memorial service is at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 2, 2006 at Pentecostal House of Prayer, W3941 East Hwy. 33, Horicon. Rev. Joann Hernbrode will officiate. Family will receive relatives and friends Friday at the church from 5 p.m. to the time of service.
