John D. Quiggle
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church (701 Washington St.) in Grafton for John D. Quiggle of Grafton. John died at the age of 73 on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Mequon. The Rev. Kenton Wendorf will officiate the service. In state at the church on Friday, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., prior to the funeral service. Burial will take place at St. Paul Cemetery in Grafton. The Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
John was born on March 20, 1933 in Baraboo, son of the late Lawrence and Della True Quiggle. He served in the U.S. Army and married Beverly Fiedler on May 4, 1957 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton.
John worked as a mold bencher for Snider Mold in Mequon for 33 years and retired in 2001. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton, the Rose-Harms American Legion Post in Grafton and enjoyed coin collecting and reading.
John is survived by his wife Beverly; daughter Dawn (Terry) Braaten of Menomonee Falls; grandson Michael Braaten; mother-in-law Ruth Fiedler of Wild Rose; sisters Mary (Douglas) Duran of Chicago, Ill., Audrey (Harold) Rhode of Iron River, Mich., Gertrude (Earl) Parson of Round Lake, Ill. and Margaret (Wm) Hanger of Baraboo; brother Michael Quiggle of Elgin, Ill.; and sister-in-law Barbara (Ronald) Loos of Rubicon.
John was preceded in death by his son Michael and one brother.
