Seno E. Bast

Funeral services were held on Nov. 1 at First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg for Seno E. Bast of Cedarburg, who passed away peacefully at home on Friday, Oct. 27, 2006 at the age of 74. Visitation was held at the church prior to the funeral service and interment took place at Immanuel Cemetery. Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg served the family.

Seno was born in Germantown on Jan. 9, 1932, the son of the late Seno J. and Evelyn (nee Harlander) Bast. On Dec. 17, 1966, he was united in marriage to Lila (nee Shamp). Seno worked for the city of Cedarburg public works department for 24 years as a mechanic. He was a founding member of the Wisconsin Antique Power Reunion, serving as president for 11 years.

A veteran, Seno served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was also an honorary member of the Cedarburg Fire Department. He was a past member of the Ozaukee County Fair Board and Agricultural Society, the Germantown Historical Society, Cedarburg Civil Defense, the North Shore Public Works Association, First Immanuel Lutheran Church and past president of the church Menís Club.

Seno is survived by his wife Lila; children Debra (Mike) Coffey of California, Dawn (Steve) Watts of Idaho, Edwin (Laura) of Cedarburg and Christine (Paul) Pannier of Random Lake; grandchildren Corrin (Jerry) Heth, Billy and Jesse Slade, Clint and Daren Watts, Mattie and Kerri Faber, Alex and Nicki Bast, Dominick and Justin Fay and Zachary Rost; great-grandchildren Haley, Haven, Christopher and Austin; brother Gordon (Judy) Bast; and sisters Marlene (the late Al) Mallon and Evelyn (Jack) Slais. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
