Donna Mae (Carson) Schooth
Donna Mae (Carson) Schooth, 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 6, 2006 in Mesa, Ariz.
Born May 22, 1927 in Abilene, Kan., she graduated from Lyden High School in Franklin Park, Ill.
On July 20, 1946 Donna married Norman Schooth. They made their home in Melrose Park, Ill. for 16 years and then settled in Slinger, at Big Cedar Lake until their retirement to Fountain of the Sun in Arizona in 1986.
Donna is survived by four devoted daughters, Janis Spiel (Gary) of Slinger, Sandra Schwer-man of St. Germain, Norma Norell of Mesa and Wendy Brown (Bill) of Gilbert, Ariz.
She enjoyed her loving nine grandchildren, Jody King (Brian), Jamie Leoni (Mark) of Slinger, Bradly Konrath, Scott Konrath (Kim) of Allenton, Nicole Staal (Tiemen) of Mesa, Kyle Schwer-man of St. Germain, William, Weston and Whitney Brown of Gilbert. She was proud of her eight great-grandchildren.
Also surviving Donna is a sister, Ruth Barlow of Florida and other extended family.
She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 42 years, Norman.
Donna was an active Lutheran and a charter member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Slinger, and Love of Christ in Mesa.
She was active in Cedar Lake Homemakers, PTA and she enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader in Slinger.
After retirement Donna continued her community involvement and worked at voting polls, attended ceramic classes and water exercise classes.
Services were held Nov. 13 at Love of Christ Lutheran Church in Mesa.
