Sharon B. Tackes
Sharon B. Tackes, 66, of Random Lake, went to the home of our Lord on the morning of Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006 at Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan, surrounded by her loving family.
Sharon was born on Aug. 7, 1940 at home in the town of Scott, Sheboy-gan County, the daughter of the late Frances Barbara Bra-bender and Joseph Her-man Schneider Sr.
She attended St. Mary’s Catholic Grade School and graduated from Random Lake High School in 1958.
She married James Michael Tackes of Dacada on Aug. 29, 1959 in Random Lake.
The couple has resided in Silver Creek since their marriage.
Sharon worked at Pick ‘n Save North in West Bend for 10 years in the deli department.
Sharon was a gentle, loving woman who cared for her husband, children and grandchildren.
She surrounded herself with her favorite hobbies of gardening, reading and researching the family’s genealogy.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish in Random Lake and a past member of the Christian Mothers.
Sharon loved cooking and spent many joyous years catering special events for family and friends, including the VFW in Belgium.
She spent time as a 4-H leader and enjoyed working at the election polls.
Sharon was an avid Packers fan and spent many Sundays cheering for the green and gold.
She loved spending time at the family cottage on Big Sand Lake in Phelps.
Her husband, children, grandchildren and her family dog, Charlie, were always her first priority.
She immersed herself in the lives of her grandchildren by attending their sporting events, recitals, and horse shows.
Survivors include her loving husband of 47 years, James, of Silver Creek; three daughters, Pamela (Richard) Eder of Adell, Lisa Tackes (fiancˇ Gordon Wells) of Random Lake and Kathleen (Michael) Janik of Milwaukee; two sons, James (Bonnie) Tackes Jr. of Cascade and Kristopher (Elizabeth) Tackes of Loganville; seven grandchildren, Brian, Rebecca and Joseph Eder, Sydney and Grady Tackes, David Tackes and Lillian Janik; a brother, Joseph (JoAnn) Schneider Jr. of Sun City, Ariz.; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, Nov. 20, at 5 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish in Random Lake.
Father James Vojtik, pastor of the church, will officiate.
Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Random Lake.
Friends may visit with the family at the church on Monday from 3 p.m.. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Sharon’s name.
