Herman W. Doll

Herman W. Doll, of West Bend, entered into eternal peace on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006 at Kathy Hospice, after 80 years of life.

Herman was born April 4, 1926, the son of Herman J. and Anna (nee Engeleiter) Doll.

He honorably entered into the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946.

After he returned home, Herman married Elizabeth M. Wolf on May 8, 1948, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. After marriage, the couple began a loving family of their own.

Herman worked at various heating and sheet metal companies, including MacMetal and also White House Milk Co.

He most recently worked at Parts Plus as a local delivery driver.

In his free time, Herman enjoyed carpentry, woodworking, playing sheepshead, dancing and traveling.

Throughout his life, Herman was an avid baseball fan.

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Marie "Betty;" his treasured children, Kenneth and Susan Doll of Hatley, Rick and Linda Doll of West Bend and Terri and Bob Gessner of West Bend; his adored grandchildren, Brian and Lisa Doll, Aaron and Kim Doll, Kristin and Josh Smith, Joshua and Rianna Doll, Michael, Meghan and Lindsay Doll and Jennifer Gessner; and dear great-grandchildren, Brittney, Brianna, Kayla and Nicholas Doll.

He is further survived by his siblings and siblings-in-law, Armella and Wayne Dolgner, Dorothy Muckerheide, Leroy and Veronica Doll, Leander and Carol Doll, MaryAnn and Gerald Schaefer, Julia Doll, Ginny and Stan Griesemer and Theresa and Joe Melzer; siblings-in-law on Betty’s side, Arlene Wolf, Rosella Wolf, Rosemary Wolf, Lucille and Gerry Lofy, Werner and Carol Wolf, Florence and Tom Schellinger, Marcel Wolf and Jerome and Donna Wolf; many nieces, nephews, other very special relatives and dear friends.

Herman was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Anna Doll; his brother, Eugene Doll; brothers-in-law, Grenfol Zweig and Henry Guetzkow; his grandson, Kevin Gessner; great-grandson, Michael Doll; parents-in-law, William and Eleanor Wolf; and siblings-in-law, Walter, Gilbert, Rita and Jerry Wolf.

A funeral Mass will be held in honor of Herman on Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 415 Roosevelt Drive, West Bend, with Father Mike Moran officiating.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, from 4 p.m. until the time of a prayer vigil at 8 p.m.
