Roman J. Warnecke
Roman J. Warnecke, 94, formerly of Colgate and Neosho, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 28 2006 at the Mayville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born July 29, 1912 in the town of Addison to Nicholas and Anna (nee Wiedmeyer) Warnecke, and was married to Sylvertra Ritger.
Roman is survived by five children, Janet (Anthony Sr.) Limbach of West Bend, Earl Warnecke of Neosho, Jean (Dr. Gerald) Gleisner of West Bend, Judith (Vincent) Strupp of Hartford and Al (Pat) Warnecke of Iron Ridge: 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lorraine Aufdermauer of Allenton, Isabelle Breuer of West Bend and Marcella Becker of Hartford; a sister-in-law, Armella Warnecke of Fond du Lac; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife; two brothers; one sister; grandchildren, Danny Gleisner and Sue Limbach; and a daughter-in-law, Sharon Warnecke.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, Oct. 8, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford.
Visitation will be Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Neosho, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial.
Father Alois Van Beek will officiate, and interment will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, St. Anthony.
In lieu of flowers, Masses or memorials to the American Heart Association Stroke Task Force are appreciated.
