A Mass of Christian burial for Helen Rothman will be celebrated at 1 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grafton. Helen died on Monday, Oct. 2, 2006 at the age of 96. Visitation will be held today at the church, from 11 a.m. until the time of the Mass. The Rev. Steve Lampe will celebrate the funeral Mass. Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg is serving the family.
Helen was born on the family farm in the town of Grafton on Aug. 7, 1910, daughter of Anton and Theresa (nee Robel) Rausch. She later married Harry Rothman and their marriage was blessed with three children.
Helen was a lifelong member at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grafton. She loved square dancing and was a past treasurer of a local square dancing club. Helen is best known for being a special caregiver, especially in the Belgium area. She devoted all of her time and talents to her late son Robert, who was a quadriplegic.
Helen is the loving mother of Audrey (Glen) Kleman of Neenah, (the late) Robert Rothman and Rita Rothman of Grafton; the proud grandmother of Mark (Kathleen) Kleman, Steven (Mary) Kleman, Karen (Greg) Leyer, Paul (Michelle) Kleman, Rene (Joel) Bruggink, Robin (Lawrence) Lange, Randall (Angela) Rothman, Kelly (Thomas) Ullmer and Michael (Lisa) Schmitz; and the dear sister of Lillian Neuenfeldt, Agnes Rilling and Priscilla (Lawrence) Schmidt. She is further survived by 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; one son Robert; and other siblings.
