Elizabeth M. "Betty" Jacak

Elizabeth M. "Betty" Jacak, nee Brath, 82, of West Bend died Friday, Sept. 29, 2006 at Aurora Health St. Lukeís Hospital in Milwaukee.

She was born Aug. 13, 1924 in the town of Ashford to the late Emanuel and Mary (nee Cermak) Brath and married Sylvester F. Jacak on May 1, 1943 at St. Martinís Church in Ashford.

Sylvester passed away on March 14, 1996.

Betty was employed at Amity Leather Products Co. for 20 years.

She and her husband farmed for 13 years and owned the West Park Ballroom for nine years.

Betty enjoyed fishing, traveling, playing cards, craftwork and playing bingo.

She was a member of the Catholic Knights Insurance So-ciety Branch 315 and the Young at Heart Club.

Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include four daughters, Marie (Richard) Thull of West Bend, Pat (Thomas) Hron of Oconto Falls, Doris (Thomas) Herbert of Altoona and Diane (Steve) Liegl of Kewaskum; 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

She is further survived by a sister, Mary (Steve) Rahn of Kewas-kum; a brother, Michael (Georgi-anne) Brath of Ashford; three sisters-in-law, Frances Schmidt of West Bend, Irene Jacak of Campbellsport and Carol Jean Jacak of St. Kilian; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Catherine, in infancy; three brothers, Al, Ray and George; and a sister, Paula.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, Oct. 9, at 6 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, West Bend.

Her nephew, Rev. John Brath, will be the presider, and entombment will be Tuesday in Wash-ington County Memorial Park, West Bend.

Visitation will be Monday at the church only from 3 until 5:45 p.m.
