Eleanor E. Fischer
Funeral services were held for Eleanor E. Fischer (nee Lueders) on Oct. 7 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg. Eleanor passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006 surrounded by her children. It was with great sorrow and joyful memories that the family and friends of Eleanor said goodbye to their mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and neighbor.
Eleanor enriched the lives of all who knew her. Anyone looking for someone to share in a heartfelt chat or a quick game of cards knew that she would always be there. Raising seven children was challenging when they were small, but the job never ended as Eleanor would gather her adult family around the table to share meals in good times and bad. She was a woman with endless amounts of love and compassion for everyone she knew. She helped raise many a grandchild and great-grandchild. If you didnít find her enjoying a quiet moment with a puzzle or a good book you would find her holding the hand of someone in need or surrounded with laughter at a family gathering.
Eleanor was the loving mother of Dan (Mert) Fischer of Kewaskum, Jerry (Doris) Fischer of Cedarburg, David (Marion) of Grafton, Gary (Cyndy) of Manchester, N.H., Shari (Dennis) Riley of Grafton, Julie (Ray) Baca of Albuquerque, N.M., and Mary Peterson of Belgium. She was further survived by 16 grandchildren, great-grandchilden, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Eleanor was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
Those that knew Eleanor will never be without her, thanks to the gifts she left behind. She blessed us all with the gifts of patience, selflessness and love which she dispensed every day of her life.
