Jerry W. Eales
Jerry W. Eales of the town of Erin passed away Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006 at his residence. He was 66 years old.
He was born April 20, 1940 in Waukesha to Willard and Mildred (nee Garrow) Eales. He married Marion Dettman on June 20, 1960 at St. Matthias Episcopal Church in Waukesha.
Jerry was a creative and loving person who was always generous with his skills and knowledge. He loved music and singing. His lifelong curiosity led him to pursue interests in woodworking, bread baking, aviation, sailing, studying banjo, building musical instruments and photography.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marion; his four children, Christi (Robert) Ehler of Oconomowoc, Bonnie (David) Jensen of Waukesha, Sally Barnes of Pewaukee, and Daniel (Holly) Eales of Mukwonago; 11 grandchildren, Anna and Kari Ehler; Jena, Abby, Joel and Isaac Hopper; Colin, Julia and Samuel Barnes; Tyler and Cassidy Eales; one sister, Janice (Verel) Leair of Waukesha; and one brother-in-law, Donald (Laura) Dettman of Missouri. Jerry is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Mildred.
Memorial Services for Jerry were Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006 at First United Methodist Church in Hartford, with Rev. Brian Kundinger officiating. Family greeted relatives and friends on Saturday at church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials to the First United Methodist Church of Hartford or the Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund are appreciated.
Shimon Funeral Home in Hartford assisted the family.
