Joanne I. O’Dwyer, 69

Joanne I. O’Dwyer (nee Bruland), of Slinger, entered into eternal peace on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006 at Kathy Hospice, at the age of 69 years.

Joanne was born in Skokie, Ill., the daughter of John and Emmy (nee Berger) Bruland. She graduated with a bachelor’s de-gree in political science from the University of Colorado-Boulder.

She was the past president of the Wisconsin Federation of Women’s Club; was an active member of the Republican Party of Washington and Ozaukee counties; president of the Ozaukee County Republican Women; past president of the Slinger Advancement Association; and was president of the Ozaukee Realtor’s Association.

Her volunteer life was just as active as her business life. Joanne’s business life also included her computer management and real estate.

A memorial service will be held in Joanne’s honor on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006 at 7 p.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church (4860 Arthur Road, Slinger, WI 53086), with Rev. Richard F. Lawrence officiating. Cremation will take place at Paradise Cremation Services of West Bend.

Visitation with friends and family will also be held on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006 from 5 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 7 p.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.

Family and friends of Joanne would like to extend their genuine appreciation for memorials that are offered in her honor to the charity of one’s choice, in lieu of flowers.
