Scott T. "Boomer" Lazich

Scott T. "Boomer" Lazich of Neosho died unexpectedly Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006 at Aurora Medical Center in Hartford. He was 52 years old. He was born Dec. 28, 1953 to Nicholas and Maxine (nee Zimmer) Lazich.

"Boomer" was an avid sportsman whose passions were hunting and fishing, especially on Lake Michigan. He enjoyed the outdoors; his favorite place was Alaska. He was a hard working, kindhearted and generous man. He was a prankster, life of the party, who could strike at any moment.

He will be greatly missed by his brother, Todd Lazich and Todd’s children, Ashley and Maxwell and their mother, Jacqueline Neitzel; his aunts and uncles, Mercedes (James) Gehl, Emil Lazich, Betty Strayer, Helen Rackin and Millie Spratt; his cousins, Gwendolyn (Jack Broesch) Gehl and their children, Amber and James Broesch; Michele (Dave) Polster and her children, Megan, Lauren, and Clayton Hall; Mary Beth (Shinji Takahashi) Gehl and their children, Ghen, Nanna and Liam Takahashi; Barbara Strayer; Jason Lazich and Daniel Lazich. Also remembered by Scott’s special friend, Jenny Wagner. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Maxine Lazich; his grandparents, Ferdinand and Veronica Zimmer and Anna and Robert Lazich; his uncle, Joseph "Beans" Zimmer; his great aunt and uncle, Ted and Helen Connelly; and family friend, Anita Zimdars.

Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, Oct.16, 2006 at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Neosho, with Fr. Mark DeVelis officiating. Family greeted relatives and friends on Monday prior to the Mass. Private inurnment was at St. Bartholomew Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated
