Richard "Rick" E. King

A celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m. today for Richard "Rick" E. King of Grafton at Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Grafton. Rick died on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006 at the age of 42. Visitation will be held at the church today, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., prior to the service. The Rev. Franz Rigert will officiate the celebration of Rick’s life. Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton is serving the family.

Rick was born in Nov. 4, 1963 in Kansas City, Mo., to Eugene and Wilma (nee Cox) King. He was the second youngest of six. On May 21, 2000, Rick married Stacy (nee Rortvedt) in Las Vegas, Nev.

Rick worked in quality control for Johnson Level & Tool in Mequon. He was a sports enthusiast, but his true love was coaching football for the Grafton Gladiators. He had been a Gladiators coach since 2001. Besides coaching, Rick enjoyed going to various sporting events for his children, but most importantly he just enjoyed spending time with his two boys.

Rick is survived by loving wife Stacy (nee Rortvedt). He was the proud father of Danny and Aaron King; Christopher (fiancˇe Jill Young) Baldock and Megan (special friend Ryan Krippendorf) Baldock; the beloved son of Eugene (the late Wilma) King; dear son-in-law of Donald (fiancˇe Mary Lou Baumgartner) Rortvedt and Deanna Rortvedt; cherished brother of Wilma Jean Studna, Gerald (Linda) King, Trudy (Michael) King-Vierow, Raymond (Ginger) King and Curtis (Pamela) King; dear brother-in-law of Kevin (Katie) Rortvedt, Tori (Mark) Myers and Jason (Missy) Rortvedt. Rick is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Rick was preceded in death by his mother Wilma (nee Cox) King.
