Helen R. Roehr

Helen R. Roehr, 82, formerly of Plymouth, passed away late Tuesday morning, Oct. 24, 2006 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboy-gan where she had been a patient for the past two days.

She was born on April 5, 1924 in Sheboy-gan, a daughter of the late John and Anna Stoi-ber Punzen-berger.

Helen at-tended St. John the Baptist Catholic Grade School and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1942.

She attended Marquette University for one year.

Helen worked at Punzie’s Bakery for many years.

On April 10, 1948, she married Gilbert Roehr in Plymouth. The couple had resided in Plymouth since their marriage.

Her husband preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 2000.

Helen was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth, belonged to the Christian Women Society at the church and was a member of the Daughters of Isabella.

She also volunteered at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility in Plymouth for many years.

She enjoyed shopping, traveling, going to plays, spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty (Craig) Bobb of West Bend and Patricia (Dave) Hanson of the town of Plymouth; five grandchildren, Patrick Bobb (fiancŽe Jennifer Boelke) of West Bend, Katie Bobb of Milwaukee, Brian (Nikki) Bobb of Fond du Lac, Sarah (Jason) Ikert of Green Bay and Kristin Hanson of She-boygan; three great-grandchildren, Brandon, Evan and Sean; a brother, William Punzenberger of Plymouth; a brother-in-law, Lester (Mary) Roehr of San Jose, Calif.

She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were an infant daughter, and a sister-in-law, Collette Punzenberger.

A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 31, at 6 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth.

Rev. Dennis Van Beek, pastor of the church, will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.

A memorial fund is being established in Helen’s name for St. John the Baptist Building Fund.
